The KG-S72C is ready for use right out of the box with all 40 CB channels and is fully compatible with other popular CB radios. It supports up to 400 total memory channels that can be customized according to your personal needs. No training is required to operate this radio. The KG-S72C is pre-configured to provide you with instant radio comms at up to 2 watts of AM and up to 4 watts of FM transmit power!

The Wouxun KG-S72C is the first CB radio to be FCC approved for both AM and FM operation! It is built with a superheterodyne receiver for reliable communication. It features channel naming and cloning, priority channel scan, a monitor function, VOX, standard and non-standard CTCSS tones and DCS codes in FM mode, high and low power selectivity, and English voice prompts. The S72C also features a Favorite Channels function, allowing you to switch to channels 9 and 19 instantly. You can even program other channels into this feature, and switch them on the fly!

The KG-S72C has a lighted LCD display that is easy to read even in bright sunlight.. It can be configured to display the channel name, channel number, or frequency. It has two configurable side keys and and configurable top key that can be programmed to perform a myriad of functions, such as fast switching between AM and FM modes. It even has a built-in flashlight.

The KG-S72C is the most compact CB radio available today, but don't let it's small size fool you. This tiny CB offers rugged reliability. It is IP65 dust and water resistant for use in most indoor and outdoor operations. The 2000mAh lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack provides many hours of operation on a single charge and can be quickly recharged through the built-in USB-C port on the side of the radio.

The Wouxun KG-S72C uses a Kenwood 2-Pin (K1) audio connector, so it is compatible with a wide array of accessories, such as earpieces, headsets and speaker mics. It's also fully compatible with batteries, chargers and power accessories for other Wouxun S-series radios, making it one of the most versitile handheld CB radios around.

The KG-S72C comes ready to roll with a lithium-ion battery pack, antenna, belt clip, desktop charger, AC adapter, BNC adapter for cross compatibility with other CB radio antennas, wrist strap, owner's manual and a one year manufacturer warranty from Wouxun.

Understanding that this is a handheld unit and limited in power output. I still have fun with this while I'm out and about. Don't get much range, but that just means those I talk with are closer to me. Great for networking. Shout out to Mr. Dolio from Tactical-wisdom for recommending this tool.

As others specified that only two Watts on am is a game changer for the worst. I get four watch on FM but I can't find anybody using fm cb. I'm really sorry I bought this now, I should have forgot one that had four watch on am and I would have been satisfied. Live and learn I guess.

Sadly I agree with all teh reviews as the AM is only 2 Watts :(

But worth it if you do use CB and do not want to install in car!

I am quite surprised in the solid dependability of this little rig. I had gotten away from the CB bands when I got my HAM ticket. The HTs were so much smaller and had the advantage of FM. This rig resolves those issues quite nicely. I too would like to have 4 watts on AM, but for now 2 does the job.

Wouxun you say ? Must be a great radio with their track record on their other radios . Wrong . The KG-S72C still needs some work . While it feels good in the hand , its performance is far from good . The low 2 watt output on AM makes it hard to talk a football field way . The menu has many settings that either do not function or if they function do not hold the memory. The programming software is useless , allows you to do nothing . You cannot program "DIY" channels as claimed in the advertisement . Receive is decent , but transmit is not worth the users time . Wouxun dropped the ball on this one , lets hope for a V2 (version 2) with some of these issues addressed .

I have had the radio for several days now, and it has a good build to it. Battery is long lasting. It has a good antenna on it, but I still got a longer one anyways. I was picking up chatter where I never did on my old HT. I would have liked to give it a 5 star rating, but two things prevented that. 1) they should have been able to give it the full 4 watts on the AM side but failed to do so. 2) the programming software is useless. It will not let you program any other channels in as it is advertised for. I had hoped to have the standard 40 AM channels and add the 40 FM channels, so that was disappointing. The software needs serious upgrading to make this radio work to its full potential.
But I still recommend the radio for a portable CB. It does its job.
