Wouxun KG-935G Plus GMRS Two Way Radio

This GMRS works right out of the box, it came at 80 percent battery and connected with people in other state's counties 30-40 miles with just this walkie alone. Battery life real good and have been on/off 3 days now & the battery life still at least 60 percent.

Nothing more to say, I really do recommend the KG-935G Plus.

I recieved radio a week ago roughly. It performs very well. And even stock rubber duck antenna not bad. Very sturdy build qaulity and great battery life. And cones with drop in charger. Or can charge via USB.

I liked my first Wouxun 935G Plus that I bought a second! I added a Nagoya 771G antenna and I can easily reach a repeater 35 miles away with no problem! Great service too!

This is my second KG 935G plus. I love the features of this radio. Battery life is exceptional. Programming is simple. We are very active outdoors in places where phones have no signal. A pair of these radios makes it easy and fun to communicate when we are out playing.

I can't think of a single bad thing to say about this radio. It is expensive, but so far, it seems to be worth it. Reception is great, seems better than several of my other radios. It has a LOT of built-in features that are actually useful. And it seems to transmit clearer, based on talks over repeaters in my area. I can definitely recommend this radio for someone who wants to get into the GMRS radio frequencies.

This is a top-rated radio for a very good reason. It is simply that good.

This KG-935G Plus handheld radio is of the highest quality. The ease of using the Channel Wizard to add new channels is one of the best features. Between the great software and the top quality hardware using this radio can be compared to using an Apple product...great interface and hardware built to spec make it my HH radio of choice.

Well built and performs wonderfully! I am on my 6th KG-935Plus HT! (one for each of my 3 adult children, one for my brother, and 2 for me!). I also have the KG1000+ base station set up at home with a copper pipe J-Pole antenna using an old Direct TV pole and mount! Works great!.

YOU NEED to have the CHIRP software to program them. Otherwise, you will NOT have a good experience. All HTs should be programmed this way anyways...so get the programming cable along with a better whip antenna, hand microphone and backup battery. You might as well get them NOW because you will come back and buy them anyway!

Was traveling and hit the Downtown Tampa repeater inside my car and those listening could not believe I was using a HT! I did pair it with a Nagoya NA-771G 15.3 inch antenna. The stock antenna is only so good. That recommendation came from many others.

How ironic...I was uploading my KG-935Plus's channels while watching the Netflix movie: "Leave the World Behind" which is about a cyberattack that renders our country without internet, phones and TV. Hmmmmm...

This HT radio works as one would expect. Easily programed with CHIRP and BAM, communicating. Added a Nagoya 771g, RX and TX extended. Great combo.

I just received my radio from you folks and I am very impressed with its operation so far. It has a nice feel and the manual programming functions are very easy to use. I have been a ham for 17 years and have owned several different HT makes and models but to date but nothing so programming friendly as the KG-935G Plus. I do use the programming software on initial setup but when out in the field during an emergency drill or similar event adding channels to an HT can be challenging at best. Not with this radio! The feel of the radio in my hand is excellent. Seems very sturdy. Also living here in Western Washington I really appreciate the IP66 moisture resistance.

I'm new to GMRS and after researching and watching all the youtube videos about radios, it felt like this was the radio I needed, and I wasn't wrong. READ THE MANUAL. This radio does it all and I love it. HOWEVER, be advised that I could only get the USB-C Charging for the battery pack to work with a USB-A end (plug end) and a USB-C end (this side goes into the radio). I couldn't get a USB-C to USB-C cable to charge the battery pack. This has something to do with technology that is over my head, but something I encourage Wouxun to look into, as many charging devices and solar chargers for SHTF scenarios are only offering USB-C charging ports. Overall, I'm happy with the radio and I can easily get a USB-A to USB-C cable to charge the battery packs when not using the charging dock.

Easy to use after a little reading of the manual.
Could not find software for this model but CHIRP worked fine with the cable and driver from the maker of the cable. Used Windows 11 with no issue. It give a warning about using the newest version of CHIRP at your on risk but it worked fine for me. Helps to be a little computer savvy to use the software but not really needed the channel wizard will get you through on the radio with no problem.

I love that this radio monitors two stations. I have the kg1000 mobile unit in my jeep and we use the 935plus for spotting. It has great reception and transmission range. I have been using it in my house to talk on the local repeaters when not wheeling. I love this radio.

I own several radios including GMRS, HAM, and Air Band (Aviation Handheld), and this radio is by far one of the best I own. I have five other GMRS radios and this one is by far my favorite. Highly recommend!

After reviewing all the others I choose this radio and I'm very pleased with it. There is a small learning curve, (as with everything) but fairly easy to figure out. Definitely buy the software cord because it makes things a lot easier to program. ( and no matter what anyone else says it works on windows 11. Make sure you follow this dealer's recommendations. It has a full aluminum frame. Feels good holding it. Nice belt clip.

I'm able to reach a repeater 12 miles away and I'm not on a hill or anything. I'm in the middle of suburbs.
I really like the screen; however, it washes out in direct sunlight. That would be my only complaint.

So far, the battery is holding up great. I spent 4 hours on a local weekly net, and I was still at 100% charge. Amazing!

You will want to put a Nagoya GMRS tuned antenna on this. The antenna it comes with is great, but you still want the Nagoya antenna.

The data cable I have is from my baofeng and it accepts the data cable just fine with no issues. (I'm using win 10 on a gaming PC)

I haven't used the wouxun software yet so I can't comment on that. I'm using chirp. The manual it comes with is well written and very decent.

I would absolutely recommend this radio despite it being chinesium. It is by far one of the best things I've seen come out of china land.

I bought this radio to replace the KG 905G, and I've been very happy with it. The big draw for me is the weather alert capability, and the fm radio is a plus - and it charges via usb C.
The display is hard to see in the sun, but it's still a fantastic radio to have on hand.

I'm this is a good radio but the struggles I’m enduring cause my computer doesn’t have com ports but I have many doing their best in helping get this radio programmed so I can use it.

The KG935G Plus is an excellent radio. I had a little trouble understand the instructions for entering and saving FM radio channels, but finally figured it out. No regrets on the purchase.

Great handheld radio. Using for security purposes on a team. Fully able to be customized by using RT Systems software. Radio is very powerful. We love the dual receive capability. Channel scan is great also. Very dependable. We trust this radio to protect our people.
